A Message From President Deacon James Coleman

To All My Brothers and Sisters In Christ:

Again I greet you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

The Annual Session of the Ohio Baptist General Convention is fast approaching. The Laymen will be kicking off the session on Monday morning, July 19, 2010 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Glendale, 40 E. Coral Avenue, Cincinnati. Hosted by Rev. Kendall Logan, and the Mt. Zion Glendale Baptist Church Family.

The Laymen will start registration at 7:00 a.m. and devotion will begin at 7:30. Registration for Laymen is $30.00 and $20.00 for Young Davids. Again, we are asking all District Laymen Auxiliaries to register at this session with $500.00 and all Churches to register with $100.00. This will enable us to meet our financial obligations to the Parent Body and represent the OBGC on the National level.

Please come and show support to the Laymen. In the morning session there will be District reports and a business session. President’s Hour and my First Annual Address will be at 11:00 a.m. Let’s get excited about the sessions and the Ohio Baptist General Convention for we are one body in Christ trying to make it in. Men please support all auxiliary days because we need each other. Remember the dress code, Laymen: dark suit, white shirt, and red tie; Young Davids: blue jacket, gray slacks, white shirt and blue tie.

I am looking forward to a great session, I thank you in advance. We can do it with the help of the Lord. Let’s make my final Annual Session as President a huge success.
